Over 300 producers of all types of filter media, as well as converters of media and raw material suppliers attended this international event. Twenty high-level papers, presented by authoritative industry speakers at the conference sessions of FILTREX, covered a diverse range of filtration topics such as: – developments in air, liquid, gas, automotive, antimicrobial, biopharmaceutical, dust and speciality filtration; – nanofibres; – electrospun, meltblown and spunlaced filter media; – testing, measurement and performance standards; – vacuum plasma coating; – acrylic technology. The exhibition part of FILTREX 2006 featured 31 stands, thus probably making it the largest dedicated market-oriented filtration event this year in Europe. Visitors were able to gather information on new product development innovations from the nonwovens and filtration press and from the following exhibiting companies: Ahlstrom, Bernard Dumas, Libeltex BVBA, CETEX – Rheinfaser GmbH, Conwed Global Netting Solutions, Europlasma NV, Fibertex A/S, Fleissner GmbH, Fraunhofer Institut Techno- Und Wirtschaftmathematik, Freudenberg Vliesstoffe KG Geschäftsbereich Filter, GVS SpA, Haver & Boecker, HIP-MITSU, Hollingsworth & Vose Europe, Institute Of Filtration And Techniques Of Separation (IFTS), Intermas Nets S.A., Keratech Group A.S., Leader Of Association Kermet, Lydall Filtration/Separation, Matter Engineering AG, National Adhesives – Bondmaster, Norafin – Jacob Holm, Palas GmbH, Rieter, Sandler AG, Topas GmbH and TSI GmbH. Key executives from all over Europe and North America appreciated the outstanding networking and business development opportunities offered by an impressive 303 participants from 27 countries representing some 166 different companies, during the exhibition, lunches and cocktail party. Based on the success of the first two, EDANA will quickly devise plans for further editions of FILTREX with increased exhibition space to meet demand. Dates and venues will be communicated shortly.
